The Sales Manager is responsible for driving agency growth by leading, coaching, and motivating a high-performing sales team. This role focuses on increasing new business production, improving retention, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience while upholding State Farm’s values and standards. The Sales Manager works closely with the Agency Owner to develop sales strategies, track performance metrics, and cultivate a positive, results-driven culture.
Seeking a proactive and organized Multiline Sales Manager to join the team. This role focuses on supporting customers across multiple product lines and contributing to the overall success of the agency through relationship management, outreach, and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual production goals
- Monitor individual and team performance metrics, including new business, cross-selling, and retention
- Conduct regular sales meetings and performance reviews
- Identify growth opportunities within the local market
Team Development & Coaching
- Recruit, onboard, and train new sales team members
- Provide ongoing coaching, role-playing, and skill development
- Foster a competitive, positive, and accountable team culture
- Create incentive programs to motivate performance
Business Development
- Drive new customer acquisition through community involvement, networking, referrals, and lead generation strategies
- Oversee follow-up systems for internet, inbound, and referral leads
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and community partners
Customer Experience & Retention
- Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional customer service
- Address escalated customer concerns professionally and efficiently
- Promote account reviews and policy bundling to increase retention
Operational Excellence
- Maintain compliance with State Farm policies and insurance regulations
- Track and report sales data and pipeline activity
- Assist in marketing initiatives and local promotional efforts
- Engage with new and existing customers to discuss available product options.
- Assist customers in reviewing insurance and financial service offerings.
- Participate in community activities that build local awareness of the agency.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Sales Experience.
- Experience in the insurance industry with proven cross-sell results.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience managing or coordinating within a business or customer service setting.
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Interest in professional growth within an agency environment.
- Must possess or be able to obtain necessary state insurance licenses.
